Finding - Use of waypoints:

Usually if you drive a car and want to go to certain destination this is where you use waypoints. You don't follow a certain route, you just want to get to a specific destination (waypoint). Make sure you changed the GPS setup to car. See Switching between car and bicycle for further information.

Example:

This example shows you how can find the ride start for our Clermont Brevet series from any point (doesn't matter where you are).

  • Hit the <FIND> button
  • Select 'Waypoints'
  • <ENTER>

  • This will show you all waypoints in the sequence of was is closest to you.
  • Scroll down the list and see if the HolInnClermont is in your list. If yes, select it and hit <ENTER>

  • If you don't live within approx. 150 Miles of the Holiday Inn or have more than 50 of your own waypoints loaded which are closer to you need to search by name instead looking for the nearest waypoints.
  • In this case, hit <MENU>
  • Select 'Find by Name'
  • <ENTER>

  • Select the first letter and <ENTER>
  • Select the second letter and <ENTER>

  • Once you see the 'HolInnClermont' on your screen, select 'OK'
  • <ENTER>

  • <ENTER> with the Waypoint selected

  • 'Go To' should be defaulted.
  • <ENTER>

  • Select 'Follow Road'
  • <ENTER>
  • The GPS will calculate the route and give you turn by turn directions to the ride start. If you miss a turn the GPS will automatically keep rerouting to the HolidayInn.
